Welcome to the Singapore PHP User Group. The current group was founded on Dec 28, 2006. Our inaugural meetup was held on January 11, 2007 at Brewerkz. A grand total of 7 people RSVPed (about 5 showed up) (http://www.meetup.com/sgphpug/events/5349671/). The meetup really took off after we moved to Facebook in Nov 2007. Our first event on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/events/6089200921/) was filled to capacity at the SMU seminar room.

PHP (recursive acronym for "PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor") is a widely-used Open Source general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for Web development and can be embedded into HTML.
