In this talk, he will lay the landscape of current applications of intracortical brain-machine interface, including discussion on movement recovery in tetraplegics, sensory recovery in blind people, and attempts at integrating both. He will briefly sketch the animal and human research on this topic in Singapore. He will finish by taking a look at possible technologies to augment normal brain function in the future.
